You might miss the small shop of George Atsonios if
you don't keep your eyes open while walking in Kamares. Formally located in the
space where his sister now has the excellent Ouzerie Kamari, George has moved up
the road a few hundred meters and is now right across from Boulis restaurant. He
sells some of the most interesting ceramics on the island, glazed and
beautifully painted. He also has a a few ornamental pieces, a couple of which
are shown below, his pomegranets and his shoe.One of the famous Sifnos
potters in the Athens suburb of Amaroussi where he also has a shop George
obviously prefers the pace of Sifnos.
