ALI BABA'S - This restaurant is
definitely one of the best on Ios. Owned by Cookie and
his lovely wife Helen, Ali Baba's serves delicious
Asian and International food at an honest price. Seen
any good movies lately? Don't worry, they show
up-to-date dvd's all the time. Great food, prompt
service, and decent prices? How could you go
wrong? AQUA PARADISO - Located in the middle of Mylopotas Beach, this restaurant serves International food with a view of the sea. My favorite is the "pork souvlaki", but they are also known for their "mousaka". The manager Costas Polidoras and his friendly staff are ready to serve you. CAFE CYCLADES - Though they specialize in Mexican food, "Cafe Cyclades" also has tasty International and Seafood. Make your own "all you can eat" fajitas as you watch the boats leave and enter the port. They look forward to welcoming you with a free shot with your main meal - just mention that you saw this ad! CLUB SANDWICH - A new fastfood place that makes a great sandwich and awesome gyros. Located between Blue Note and the Main Square. DELFINI - Thai food in Greece?? Oh yeah!! "Delfini" brings in cooks from Thailand to spice up your tastebuds. This outdoor restaurant is perfect if you want to relax and scan the beach which is located right across the street. DELICIOUS - Located in the Main Square right next to "Porky's", "Delicious" has been feeding Ios party goers since 1985. Owned by the witty Dimitris Haros, this place serves gyros, pancakes, sandwich's, hamburgers, spaghetti, crepes and more. ENIGMA - This Greek restaurant-bar managed by Stelios Nicolaou specializes in souvlaki, vegetarian food, and Greek meze dishes. It is situated right next to the sea in the port and offers a wide selection of wine from all over Greece. "Enigma" is definitely a great place to meet with friends and listen to Greek music. FAR OUT VILLAGE - Located across the street from the beach, Far Out Village boasts a wide range of home made pizzas, finely baked in their olive tree, wood fire oven. They are also famous for the "best sauces on Ios" and tasty salads. If you want to cool off, feel free to dive into their huge swimming pool. FIESTA - Specializing in Mexican food and pizza made in its wood fire oven, this restaurant also boasts a great view of the sunset. FUNKY CHICKEN - This small eatery in situated right across from "Flames Bar". Watch Spyros stir fry your meal while you view a videotape movie or tv show like "Seinfeld". He takes his cooking very seriously and is sure to satisfy. FUN PUB - Located right next to "Aftershock" on the main road, this restaurant-bar serves fast food and drinks while you go surf the web, play pool, or hang out for free in their movie room which plays movies all day long. GLOBAL GOURMET - Specializing in Greek cuisine and fresh seafood, "Global Gourmet" is located in the heart of the village. It has been around since 1999 and is known for its filet mignon. HARMONY - A popular place for Mexican food, Harmony boasts a spectacular view of Mylopotas beach where you can stretch out on a hammock with your margarita and indulge in a wide range of delicacies. IOS CLUB - At Ios Club, you can enjoy the sunset while listening to classical music and drinking their special cocktails. You can also try their Greek and International cuisine and relish in all of its delicious flavor. LACUVA - A new joint, Lacuva became the afterhour spot for Ios party people with it's not-so-tasty "Special Afterhour OJ" (wink-wink) and delicious chicken soap. LORD BYRON - With Mezes and unique dishes from Asia Minor and the Mediterranean, "Lord Byron" uses local Island produce, meat, fish and the delicious cheese of Ios. They offer a wide variety of Ios, Santorini, and mainland wines from the best vineyards available. MICHELANGELO - In "Parthenon Hotel" you'll find the restaurant "Michelangelo" with its beautiful view over the village. The restaurant serves different kinds of breakfast, Greek traditional food and pasta. PORKY'S - Located in Ios Main Square, "Porky's" has everything from crepes to ice-cream. Owned by the same Dimitri from "Seven Eleven", this place serves good, fast food. SAINIS - Open since 1970, this family ran restaurant boasts secret recipes that are very popular to both Greeks and tourists. They have live music every night from "Syrtaki" to "Rempetika" type music. It has a traditional Greek atmosphere and cuisine. SEVEN ELEVEN - With a wide selection of international delicacies, "Seven-Eleven" is definitely a place I can eat at every day. It also has an Internet connection for you to surf the web. Owned by my friends Nikos and Dimitris, "Seven-Eleven" serves food at decent prices and is located off the main road surrounded by area hotels & rooms-to-let. SOFRANO - Managed by George Panagiotis, this restaurant serves Greek food and specializes in mixed grilled fish. The traditional Greek tavern is located close to the sea and is known to be a great place to hang out. STAVEDO - Located in Ios Port since 1981, "Stavedo" is a Greek restaurant that specializes in spaghetti with seafood and other Greek treats. TERRASINI - At Terrasini, you can chose if you want to be seated inside or outside in the beautiful garden with the wonderful view. This restaurant also delivers pizza and other meals to your doorstep. They boast having the same ownership and cook since 1986 and will probably continue this trend well into future summers to come. THE MILLS - Located inside Mills Square in the most beautiful part of Ios village, "The Mills" has a nice atmosphere and is perfect for that quiet dinner. You can enjoy your dinner with their special barrel wine while listening to Greek music. THE NEST - This typical family ran taverna serves the kind of dishes you would normally find only in a Greek home (moussaka, pastisio, tzatziki, meatballs, fish egg salad and more).
